Guests sitting with a Korean host over tea in a hanok

The experience you want in Korea
probably does not exist yet.
So we build it.

Yours Truly, Korea builds private experiences with Korean specialists — a monk, a barbecue master, a tea instructor, a market curator — and runs them in your language. Below are the ones we have already built. Tell us what you want, and we will build the next one.

What we do

We are not a tour company.

We find the Korean specialist your idea needs, design the day around that person, and take care of everything in between — the reservation, the interpretation, the printed guide, and the small things you would never think to ask about.

Your language

In your language —
not only on this page.

Nine languages here, and the same nine where it matters: the first enquiry, the booking, the guide you read before you arrive, and the person standing beside you on the day. We assign a specialist or an interpreter who works in your language. Tell us which one, and that is the one we use.

A Korean temple-cuisine table set with many small dishes

Already built

Eleven we have made,
and one on the way.

Each one began as somebody's idea. Booking happens on the platform we work with for your country, and the button tells you which one before you leave this page.

Temple cuisine course at a Michelin-listed restaurant
01

Private Jogyesa Temple Tour with Michelin Temple Cuisine

Wonhyo drank from a skull in the dark and found it sweet; in daylight he was sick. Nothing had changed but his mind. A morning inside Korea's head temple, ending at a Michelin-listed temple table where every dish is explained.

02

Temple, Seon Meditation and Tea in a Hanok

The Buddha did not meditate in a room with music playing. He sat outside, in the world. We begin where he began, then carry the quiet to a hanok teahouse in Insadong — where Korean tea is poured with a plainness you will not find in China or Japan.

03

Premium Korean Barbecue, Grilled for You by a Master

In Korea, someone else grills. The father at the table, the host, the one who knows the meat — it is not service, it is a way of belonging to the table. Hanwoo and pork, grilled in front of you and explained as it cooks. Best outside the summer months.

04

Namdaemun Market with a Private Concierge

Six hundred years of trade, and still no obvious way in. Go deep without the effort: someone beside you who knows which alley, which stall, which hour — and who carries what you buy.

Reservations at Seoul's Hard-to-Book Restaurants

Some Seoul restaurants take reservations only by phone, only in Korean, only weeks ahead. We make the call. You arrive, sit down, and order like anyone who lives here — with a guide in your language that tells you how.

06

Vegan and Temple-Food Restaurant Reservations

Eating plant-based in Korea is easier than it looks once you know where to sit down. We book the table and send a guide in your language, with the dishes and the words you will need.

Solo Dining Reservations

Many of the best Korean tables were built for groups, and some will not seat one person at all. We find the ones that will, book them under our name, and send you a guide so that eating alone in Seoul feels like eating at home.

08

Shopping and the Journey to the Airport, with a Cultural Curator

The last hours of a trip are usually spent guarding luggage. Hand it over instead. Shop, eat, see one more thing — and arrive at the gate with everything already in the car.

Departure Day: Shopping, Dining, then the Airport

Check out in the morning and keep the whole day. Your bags travel with the car while you spend the last hours the way you meant to.

10

Star in a Korean Movie with an Indie Film Director

Not a tour — a film set, and you are the star. Tea in a century-old hanok teahouse in Bukchon, then the alleys with a scholar while the director scouts locations. Then the camera rolls, and you leave with a short film that is yours.

11

Dongdaemun K-Fashion, with a Gangnam Style Curator

The shops tourists are shown are not where Seoul's fashion actually moves. A Gangnam-based curator takes you inside the wholesale markets — what is negotiable, what is not, how to walk in like you belong — and a car carries whatever you buy. Tuesday to Friday, on the market's own week.

Airport Meet & Greet, and the Road to Your Hotel

Met at the airbridge, escorted through immigration, baggage and customs handled for you, then a private car door to door between the airport and your hotel. At Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae and Jeju. In preparation with an airport concierge partner.

These twelve are only what we happen to have built already. The one you actually want is the one we would rather make.

Bespoke

Tell us what you want.

Nothing on this page has to be your starting point. Describe the day you have in mind and we will find the person who can make it happen — and build it once, for you.

  • A calligrapher who writes your family name.
  • A potter's wheel for an afternoon.
  • A hanbok fitted by the person who sewed it.
  • A table for one that does not feel like a table for one.
  • Or something no one has asked us for yet.
